a feature cameo

Mae Stier’s talents & contributions to the Leelanau community know no bounds. The Glen Arbor Sun & Mae reserve space for a series specifically for featuring “Creative Collaborators of Leelanau.”

February showcased the force of nature designer, Kelsey Duda. Amidst juggling massive projects, Kelsey maintains a grace, humility & community focus that is evident. Her work preserves the history of spaces, builds on sturdy bones & priceless detail then melds modern, timeless & natural elements to create a cohesive, updated environment. She goes beyond managing projects – she’ll get her hands dirty doing the heavy lifting, painting & pizza delivery from Millie’s to The Mill.

Kelsey Duda designed the restoration & updates for the historic grist mill just north of Glen Arbor’s downtown.

The Mill opened its doors in 2023, serving house breads, pastries, sandwiches & cafe drinks.

In Mae’s feature of Kelsey, I was honored to be included for an upcoming collaboration. There will be a limited amount of “nykamping x The Mill” baguette bags released with a subscription for The Mill & Outpost.

Embedded below is the issue, with Mae’s feature of Kelsey continued on page 6. You can find issues of the Glen Arbor Sun here.
