A presentation of works by queer artists, birthed from personal experiences merged with stories from Michigan queer elders. The Long Memory Project connected artists & elders together with hopes to give space for generational storytelling.
Crosshatch Center for Art & Ecology collaborated with Up North Pride & MiGen to host queer artists in a week-long residency at Cedar North, in Cedar, Michigan. Artists’ work includes mediums of sculpture, textile art, poetry, spoken word, print-making, acrylic paint & wearable art.
These pieces will be exhibited & presented at The Alluvion in Commongrounds in Traverse City, Michigan. They will be on display for the month of June in celebration of LGBTQ+ Pride.
