NATURALLY DYED TEXTILES

Isa Scott seeds, plants, tends, waters & harvests her Northport, Michigan garden in order to dye natural textiles with plant-based dyes.

She has her hands in the entire process, from seed to stirring the dye bath.

After dyeing secondhand textiles, Elijah Nykamp (nykamping) will design & sew clothing in his oversized, one size fits most fashion.

The pieces will be presented on Summer Solstice through 20 looks, on 20 models walking in a fashion show at The Foxglove Farm. The show is a celebration of seasons, but focusing on the bounty of summer in northern Michigan – specifically the flora grown to make beautiful dyes.

Isa’s focal dyes:

Cosmos
Madder root
Marigold
