coat in bra appliqué
freedom
Since my medium uses textiles & fashion, I asked all of the elders in our one-on-one conversations about the role of clothing in their transition or coming out. I also asked about a time they felt most comfortable, free, or themselves & what they were wearing. One elder’s eyes twinkled as she told me about running alone through the woods with only her skirt on & never feeling more free than that moment.
